In order to please John Widder and as an attempt to increase our grade, Cheryl and I went to two art exhibitions yesterday! One was at NUS and one at Art Seasons which is in the business district, near some dodgy pubs.
So our plan was to go to NUS first then go back to school to complete our own art pieces then make our way to Art Seasons.
NUS:
We got to NUS by bus and stopped along Clementi with a vague idea of where the NUS Museums Building is. So we looked at the campus map and couldn't find a building called NUS Museums, so we just looked for something arty and figured it might be in the same area. But no, we ended up at the wrong place and while I was on the phone, Cheryl asked a guy for directions. He was really nice cause he brought us straight there as he was going to somewhere near it anyway. But the building we went to was called the Cultural centre or something like that, and not NUS Museums. That wasn't that bad because we saw some exhibits. (not the one we intended though...)
School:
Going to school to work on art pieces during the holiday isn't very fun, but yesterday wasn't so bad, because the guard who unlocked the room for us wasn't the cranky old one, and there was aircon because it was during school hours on a weekday!
Art Seasons:
Trying to get from school to Art Seasons. We took a bus to an MRT station, then took the train to Raffles station. Not knowing which direction to walk, we asked someone who was standing around for help. He told us something and we got confused and lost, so we decided to ask someone else, and he gave us complicated directions. Singapore being so hot and humid, we almost wanted to take a cab to "Gemmil Lane". But since Cheryl said she had $4 left, we walked there. We finally found the place and enjoyed the lovely aircon there. The stairway there kinda stunk though...
That was our artsy fartsy day!
I guess this is a beautiful mistake too...6:36 PM
