not feeling too well today, so i'm not at work. work has been the same as usual, as busy as always, and also as tiring.
next week there's a dinner and dance for the staff, and i'll be going for that. it'll be interesting.
oh yes next week i start buddying with the supervisors. i'm done with being a room attendant. time passes so quickly when i think about it. but of course when i'm suffering in the rooms, trying to work as fast as i can, yet keeping up to the standards, i definitely think otherwise. haha
well i met up with tiara again last night before she leaves for shanghai. we had a good time. managed to spot to interesting characters. two scottish guys wearing kilts. yes, and till now we haven't figured if they're gay or not... hee... but we took some fun pics last night.... sorry and dont mind my sleepy eyes, this was after work.
oh yes, the pair of glasses im wearing is one of the new ones that i made. here's just one pic =)

throughout the year 2006, or at least since i got accepted and decided that i was going to adelaide to study hotel management, i couldnt believe i was actually going. well it started off with, wow i'm actually going to adelaide! yay, cant wait. then while i was there until now, its like... wow i'm actually doing it... hotel management, or at least that's what they call it anyway. shift work, working hours that are totally different to everyone else's, the "rush" whenever guests are DEMANDING anything. (by demanding, i actually just mean requesting... but all requests should be urgent.. no?)
while in adelaide, amanda, edwin and i would always say, it still doesnt feel that we're in australia studying... and this would be once in awhile, throughout the 6 months that we were there.
the thing is, i told my friend edwin on msn the other night, that i cant believe what I'm actually doing during work. its like, i come home after work, think about what i just did, and say to myself "wow, that was alot". probably because i'm feeling the aches and pains. but somehow, weirdly, during work, i just dont stop to think about how much i'm doing... i'm just doing it.
anyway, i dont know when this whole hotel management industry thing will kick in... hmm

ICHM Semester 1 2006 results arrived in my mail box today.... thats all i shall say... i'll tell whoever one on one... im not going around posting my overall average of my grades... and dont try to guess what i got..... haha =D
four weeks of 8am-4pm housekeeping is finally over... now ill be starting on my two weeks of 3pm-11pm turndown service. not sure what to expect. some say its not bad as making up rooms, but some say its really rushed... and tiring... first of all i find making up rooms really tiring already... so if its going to get more rushed and more tiring... eeks...
got my new glasses already... as soon as i get pics i'll update... but for now.... posts are pictureless

went to the doctors this afternoon... because my eye has been itching a random times the past few days... actually it might have been around a week already. first i thought it was just dirty or whatever, so i bought eyedrops, but still the itch comes back. so now i've got new eyedrops from the doctor that are antibiotics, and itch tablets too. its some sort of infection that i might have got together with the flu or something.... oh well. hopefully after the medication and horrid eyedrops that make me nauseous, my eye will completely heal.
tomorrow its back to work again. its been a few good days of rest! very thankful for orientation and public holidays =)

once again, it has taken me a week to update this thing... but with the tiredness from work, its not really the top of my list of to do's... but anyway, i am getting down to it now, and its not like its been weekS....
so anyway, today was my last day of the 2 day orientation at four seasons. it was really interesting to hear the dept heads speak about their own departments, also hearing our part to play in the hotel....
aside from work, tomorrow is national day.... i'll be going to the national day parade with another family, my mum, and tiara! yay! cant wait to see the parade as well as to see tiara again... ive only not seen her for about a month now, but it feels good to see someone from ICHM again so soon... its kinda weird though, cause i was so excited to see her when i was in adelaide cause she was someone from UWC... now im excited to see her cause she's from ICHM.... =)
i'll update soon with pics that i'll be taking tomorrow!

its almost a week since i last updated.
so here are some updates... i have finally moved on to doing rooms on my own now. so cool. with my own report which lists the guest name, arrival, departure info... stuff like that. so yeah i've also got my own cleaning bucket and vacuum. yay!...urm.. yeah just leave me be.
ive been really tired after work everyday though. for those who know... it was like RDO practical, just times the number of rooms that i have assigned a day, everyday.... aiyo... but its quite fun... i guess... =) need to stay positive and optimistic!
