today was my last day at business centre. its been a good 4 weeks there. it didnt feel like that long i must say. anyway, starting tomorrow i'll be at front desk, but only for 2 days this week. the rest of the week i'll be at reservations, then im pretty sure its back at front desk.

so wish me luck, i'm really nervous about going there, because i heard that the pace is much faster, and that the front office staff... well they just expect more out of you because they too have to answer to the guest right? and especially when the demanding guest is standing right in front of you... pressure pressure...

i know they're nice people, its just that under pressure, even the nicest person will show some form of irritated-ness right... heh

*fingers crossed*

in the last few weeks, i've conquered 3 korean dramas! first it was

"princess hours"

then it was

"my love patzzi"

then

"my girl"

in that order.

Now i'm starting on

"my lovely Sam-Soon"

yay! well actually i'm already on the 3rd episode of my lovely sam-soon. i think there are only 16 episodes in total.

if only i could understand korean, then i could watch them and probably appreciate them more!

well now i'm going back to watching *wink*

since i've started work, i've worked 823 hours. Its not much compared to some of my other friends on their IP, but its already sufficient. the number of hours required of us is a minimum of 700hrs. so i guess i've already passed that part of the criteria =)

this sunday is my last day at the business centre, it's the end of my fourth week there. time passes really quickly! i feel that i've only been there for a shorter period of time. anyway i'll be moving on to the reservations department after the business centre. i think i'll be less stressed in that department :) its a good break before the most stressful department of all... front desk! i'll update more when i experience it for myself and see if what everyone else has been saying about it is true.

life in the business centre is really unpredictable... these last two days have been SOOO busy.... now i know what people mean when they say their head is throbbing.... i like doing things in order, but when i have to jump from one to the other in the middle of doing one thing, i have to concentrate and think more... haha anyway here are some pictures... abby, simon, and me with my brother and mum celebrating my birthday at dan ryan's

it was my birthday 4 days ago... seems like longer... maybe because work seems slightly more challenging and thats why the day feels like its dragged on for longer... oh well. anyway earlier this week, ICHM sent out an assessment form for the hotels to fill in about us... i think they asked for it to be returned by the 27th of november, so that means it'll be all done and filled out before i get to front office. which is probably a good thing, because i have heard many stories about front office and how hard and stressful it is. they say lots of trainees cry from being pushed too hard and not being able to keep up with the pace. *shrug* before i say anything more, i should experience it for myself first. but anyway i heard from XuShan that RIH has blocked MSN as well as skype... its so crazy! are they trying to restrict our contact with the world outside RIH? do they think people would study more/harder if there wasnt any chatting?!?!

anyway i want to thank all who wished me happy birthday, and also those who gave me gifts!! i wasnt really feeling the birthday hype this year... after all i only turned 19.... its not like its 16,18, or 21.... haha anyway thanks to the birthday wishes and presents, i started feeling excited again.

other updates:
-the ballot results are out, and i managed to get a spot to live in RIH next yr
-i'll be in the business centre until the 19th of november
-i booked my flight back to adelaide awhile ago, but going to arrange for car rental for when we (me, edwin, and edmund) arrive... and of course both of them will be driving... i dont drive.. ;)
-went gown shopping with my sister and ryan and my mum today
-i need to pick out a nice design for my bridesmaid dress to tailor make... any suggestions?

i'll try to pay more attention to my blog and not be lazy... haha
